Aktion

The Oakland aktion started at precisely 6:00am with the (peaceful) arrest of the Interfaith Community which had been conducting a candlelight vigil near the site of the recent murder beside the Tully's at Frank Ogawa/Oscar Grant Plaza. (Note, the Plaza was renamed for Oscar Grant early in the Occupation; at the time, it appeared that few of the Occupiers knew who Frank Ogawa was, but when they found out, they quickly revised the designation to include Frank Ogawa. In Sacramento, some of the Occupiers had no real idea who Cesar Chavez was, either. The problem here is not the native ignorance of the People, it is the absence of education. But that's another topic.)

There is a lot of talk about civilian journalism and non-violent tactics on the Ustream. It's really moving.
